π Mazda 6 Dpf Regeneration Frequency
Reaction score. 0. Sep 3, 2021. #1. Hey all, Have a 2020 6.7 with 37k miles. About 10 days ago got a check engine light with code P2459- Frequent Regen. My truck had been running a Regen about every 25 miles. As soon as one would end another would start. My driving is about half highway and half local road.
P2458 β DPF regeneration duration; P2459 β DPF regeneration frequency; P2463 β DPF Restriction β Soot accumulation; P244A β DPF Pressure too low (Bank 1) How to fix the dpf problem. There are 3 solutions available to fix Jeep Grand Cherokee dpf issues and below we will discuss each option. Forced Regeneration
Excess carbon which blocks the DPF frequently is caused by bad combustion in the cylinders. The likely culprit are the injectors as I believe there was either a bad batch of nozzles fitted to 2013-on, not sure on range of years, but I have heard up to 2016. It is well known to Mazda local head offices, but not the dealers.
P2458 β DPF regeneration duration ; P2459 β DPF regeneration frequency ; P2463 β DPF Restriction β Soot accumulation ; P244A β DPF Pressure too low (Bank 1) High fuel consumption + Low performance . When the Mazda CX5 DPF is blocked, it will over fuel to increase the exhaust temperatures that burn the soot particles.
The Edge CTS dispays parameters that the PCM monitors. One of those is SOOT % Ford must have some sensor that measures the soot collected and triggers the regens when that concentration is reached. The 6.7 will do either a Passive Regen ( anytime you have exhaust heat over 572*) and the Active Regen when the percentage triggers it.
Re: Discussions about DPF Β« Reply #75 on: March 29, 2015, 07:26:44 pm Β» Hello Everyone, I'm new to the forum, I have a Mazda 6 2.2 diesel I am having some problems with frequency active regens of the dpf does anyone have any advice?
For the nine drivers who experienced DPF regenerations (Fig. 5 a), three drivers (i.e. Drivers 4, 9 and 29) have noticeably lower NO x, one driver (i.e. Driver 26) has noticeably higher NO x, and the rest five drivers (Drivers 1, 6, 12, 16 and 22) have very similar NO x from DPF regeneration trips than those from normal trips.
P24A0 - Closed Loop DPF Regeneration Control At Limit - Temperature Too Low P249F - Excessive Time To Enter Closed Loop DPF Regeneration Control These DTCs set from monitors on operations requiring Aftertreatment Hydrocarbon Injector ( AHI, 7th Injector) input, including: Moving Crystal Sublimations ( OBD15 and OBD16 emissions levels )
I own a 2020 ram 2500. My average speed on my truck sits at 48.7 mph. I have a 35 mile commute to and from work. The route to work does have stoplights. My
Works for my Zafira 2.0 CDTI, providing it is kept above 2500 RPM. That said, Since I started using Shell V-Power about 3 years ago and that made a MASSIVE difference to the regeneration frequency. Before that she was getting us to do a forced regen every 2-3 weeks, then after we started using V Power we maybe get one every 4-6 months.
Paying attention to the frequency of a vehicleβs regeneration cycles is the most effective way to determine whether or not there has been significant ash buildup in its DPF. If they are ignored, the end result could be an irreversibly-damaged DPF that is cracked, glazed or melted.
The P2459 Ford will set if the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that the average time between completed regenerations is less than a calibrated threshold. The particulates in the exhaust gases are collected by the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). When the filter becomes saturated with particulates, they are incinerated by a regeneration process.
